Bilingual Senior Credit Analyst, Credit

JOB DESCRIPTION

This individual will report directly to a Leader of Credit at SCI Lease Corp and will play an integral role in developing and supporting relationships with our National base automotive dealers.

This individual will be primarily responsible for researching and analyzing credit risks, assessing credit history and approving or denying extension of credit to potential customers. This team member has contact with other company departments, as well as automobile dealers and other finance and credit sources.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze and evaluate credit applications under specific guidelines
  • Review and understand credit bureau information to assist with the credit analytics and to help determine affordability and risk
  • Review and verify income from various sources such as pay stubs, Notice of Assessments and Financial Statements
  • Review Commercial credit files, Credit Bureaus and Financial Statements
  • Communicate with dealers and internal departments regarding accounts pending credit approval
  • Conduct reference investigations, document requirements and prepare credit presentations
  • Work in a high volume Call Centre environment, requiring the use of multitasking skills
  • Clarify inquiries regarding policies and procedures to peers and clients
  • Promote and provide a high standard of service to the dealers and to other areas within the company
  • Any and all other duties as may be required to meet Company objectives
  • Varying shift work; these shifts may be further adjusted from time to time by your Manager

QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS required

  • The ideal candidate must be bilingual (English and French – both written and verbal)
  • Non-Prime lending experience is an asset
  • Knowledge and understanding of personal and commercial credit bureau reports
  • Knowledge and understanding of detailed financial statement and ratio analysis
  • Knowledge of standard office software
  • Successful candidate must be able to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment
  • Vehicle and/or leasing experience would be considered a definite asset
  • The successful candidate must be detailed oriented, open to change, be able to work independently, be a team player, and organized
  • An effective communicator with verbal, written and listening skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a dynamic team
  • Exercises sound judgement
  • Applies reason to effectively problem-solve
  • Analytic thinker
  • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple assignments and tasks
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage high pressure situations

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in the leasing/automotive or asset based financing industry
  • 5-7 Years of direct lending experience, automotive preferred

EDUCATION

  • College Diploma in business administration or related education and/or applicable work experience

WORK CONDITIONS

  • This role requires evening and weekend shift work to support our National Dealership operating hours
  • Applicants may be required to work a minimum of two evening shifts a week (currently until 11PM EST) and at least one Saturday per month (10:30-7PM EST)

Lease Maturity Guide

SCI CarCare

Every vehicle experiences an amount of wear and tear while it’s being driven. With SCI CarCareTM, your vehicle will be covered for Excess Wear and Tear (EWT), which are vehicle damages that are over and above what is considered normal wear and tear.

Once you return your vehicle at the end of your lease, SCI CarCareTM coverage will kick in and save you from unexpected charges due to EWT.

Program Terms & Eligibility

Available on new and previously untitled cars and pickup trucks with less than 10,000KM at lease inception

Must be purchased on the effective date of the lease

Not valid on vehicles used for commercial use (i.e. UBER, landscape or construction vehicles)

$0 deductible

Can be canceled within 60 days of purchase

Charges waived up to $1,000 for excess wear damage caused by a single incident or event as detailed in the SCI CarCareTM waiver up to a maximum of $5,000 total excess wear charges
